For over a year and a half, Manchester's People's History Museum have been working with a Community Programme Team made up of people whose lives have been shaped by migration to re-evaluate the migration narratives that People's History Museum tells. The result? A carefully curated, person lead exhibition, exploring the lived experience of both past and present day British migrants.
The installation invites attendees to follow one of three migrant trails, to learn about their stories and challenge their own view of migration.
Working once again with designer Lee Goater, and the talented & passionate team at People's History Museum, we created a sensitive, inventive experience with an often under-represented community at it's heart.
